Kamika Ekadashi’s Inner Journey

Kamika Ekadashi’s Inner Journey

Kamika Ekadashi is more than just a ceremony.
It is a holy invitation, a gentle call from the heart of Lord Vishnu to come back to purity, let go of your burdens, and walk toward the light.

Kamika Ekadashi will be observed on Saturday, 19 July 2025.

On this holy day, the soul finds peace in silence. The heart doesn’t beat for the world; it beats for Narayana, who is always there. With each chant of “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya,” tears clean the eyes and the mind remembers that there is peace beyond all worldly suffering—a deep, lasting peace that only God can give.

Those who observe Kamika Ekadashi with devotion experience something that words can’t describe.

It’s not just about not eating; it’s also about letting go of wrath, blame, and pride and letting grace into the heart of who you are.

The Tulsi Offering: A Sign of Love

Offering a single Tulsi leaf to Lord Vishnu on this Ekadashi is said to be more holy than giving him a whole mountain of gold. Why?

Because Tulsi is love.
Tulsi means giving up.
Tulsi is the language of the devotee’s heart, given freely and without pride.

The Lord doesn’t care how big or valuable your gift is; He cares about how pure your heart is.

🕯️ Night of Light, Not Darkness

When night falls on Kamika Ekadashi, devotees light diyas (lamps) in front of Lord Vishnu. These little flames stand for the light of the soul, which reminds us that we are not this body or this sorrow, but divine sparks of the Infinite.

The heart speaks in that holy silence, when the world is asleep.
You may not be able to hear Vishnu’s voice, but your worries and fears go away, and something inside you says, “I am with you.” “I’ve always been with you.”

The Promise of Freedom

The scriptures asserts that just hearing about Kamika Ekadashi can release you from bad karma that has piled up over many lifetimes.

This isn’t just a sign. Devotion, or bhakti, is a strong force. Even the laws of the cosmos bend in benevolence when the soul bows down in humility.

Kamika Ekadashi is the day to let go of things like guilt, fears, and attachments.
It’s time to look inside and say, “O Lord, I don’t come with gifts, but with tears.” I don’t want money; I want Your protection.”Please show me how to get closer to You.”

As the night of Kamika Ekadashi drags on, let your heart open up. Please be quiet. “Feel your breath.” Call out to Lord Vishnu with love, but not perfectly.
